Company Description: MiAcademia
is an e-services company that provides a unique offering of electronic
services for the educational institutions of Ibero-America. MiAcademia
aspires to create a regional network of schools and universities that will
allow students, educators and parents to access educational and extracurricular
tools and resources.

Project Description: To
provide a portal that would act as a gateway to access the network system
provided by MiAcademia. Access to the system would be for members and potential
participants in the regional educational sphere.
Unique Aspects: Chimera
Studio faced many technological challenges in addition to the design phase
of this project. Although not all of the project specifications are presently
being implemented, they included:
- Integration with MiAcademia's groupware application.
- Password protection for members, allowing them
to log in to members-only portions of the site.
- Country Portals/Language choices - visitors
would be able to choose their preferred language - English, Spanish or
Portuguese - as well as their preferred country portal. Cookies would
then track that choice and direct the visitor to the appropriate portal
upon return. A means to clear that cookie was also built in.
- School templates - Chimera Studio designed a
series of color-schemed templates for prospective schools to use for their
individual sites within the network.
Chimera Studio also designed the MiAcademia logo.
